I am utterly devastated and deeply sorrowful to learn of the untimely passing of Dean Holland. My association with him was one of great familiarity, and I can attest to his exemplary horsemanship and commendable character. Merely a few weeks prior, I had extended felicitations to him on his triumph in the Newmarket Handicap @ Flemington. Rest in peace, dear friend; your absence shall be felt by countless. My heartfelt sympathies are with his family during this trying time.
